Transforming Futures with Ping Pong at The Boys & Girls Club

In today's world, many children spend significant time at home without adult supervision. Unfortunately, this often leads them to seek companionship and entertainment in less-than-safe environments. The Boys & Girls Club of Portsmouth aims to change this narrative by providing a safe and nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and have fun. Our programs are designed to foster confidence, creativity, purpose, and social skills among the youth in our community.

Kevin Will CEO of BGC will tell you, "In today's world, many children spend significant time at home without adult supervision. Unfortunately, this often leads them to seek companionship and entertainment in less-than-safe environments. The Boys & Girls Club aims to change this narrative by providing a safe and nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and have fun. Our programs are designed to foster confidence, creativity, purpose, and social skills among the youth in our community, and Ping Pong is such a natural fit!"

Recently, the team at PingPongGIVES Charity Foundation had the wonderful opportunity to partner with HOY Construction to make a meaningful contribution to the Boys & Girls Club. "It's because of supporters and corporate sponsors like HOY, Williams DeLoatche, KETTLER and others that enable us to bring Ping Pong Wellness Programs (to include table tennis table, paddles and balls) to the community, allowing our youth to engage in a fun and social skill development activity. The joy on their faces while playing and listening to Dr. Sautter was truly inspiring," shares Lynell White, event volunteer with PingPongGIVES.

"Our mission focuses on integrating Table Tennis programs into various sectors—businesses, non-profits, schools, and churches—especially for those who might not otherwise have the chance to play. Witnessing our mission come to life in this way has been both exciting and rewarding", mentions Dr. Sautter, board chair.

Cliff, with Boys and Girls Club will be managing the Ping Pong Club!

This endeavor wouldn't be possible without the support of our community and our charity partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shares our vision and helps us in our ongoing efforts to give back to the local community.

Thank you for being a part of this journey!
